Tenant in focus – Suki Tea
A quick overview of Suki Tea?
Based in Belfast, SUKI – Tea Makers ethically source and blend loose leaf teas, herbal infusions and fruit blends from all over the world. Our commitment to quality is reflected in responsible sourcing, great taste and delivering the very best customer experiences.
Can you describe your role? (And what’s your favourite tea flavour?)
Marketing for Suki Tea involves everything from social media and website management to tasting and creating brand new teas and bringing them to market, to attending trade shows and hosting events! No two days are ever the same at Suki! My favourite tea at the minute is Green Tea Ginseng, but this changes on a weekly basis as I love most of them!
What has been Suki Tea’s biggest success, and biggest challenge to date?
We are fiercely proud of what we have accomplished and as we embark on our 15th year in the industry, the knowledge and experiences we have gained so far are reflected into the new look and feel of SUKI TEA.
This year we’re excited to showcase our wonderful new design to the world. One of the biggest changes to our packaging is one you might not notice at all – we’ve gone plastic-free with an aim to be 100% plastic free by 2022.
What are the biggest challenges on the horizon for your industry?
Aiming to become 100% plastic free by 2022. It’s been a challenge but an important one that links closely to our core ethics and ethos.
Eco-friendly is the future, look out for new brand 100% plastic free bags, retail boxes and accessory packaging over the coming months. Favouring ethical supplier practices and operating in a more socially, economically and environmentally sustainable manner are the cornerstones of everything we do, so it was a natural next step for SUKI
We’ve just recently went through a rebrand.
